about the film
European governments are enhancing expulsions and deportations as a way of dealing with irregular migration. What happens to migrants once they are deported? Is deportation effective in curbing and deterring irregular migration to Europe?

about the authors
David Leone Suber is a migration researcher and free-lancer working from the Middle East and North Africa. He conducted the research on deportations from Italy, and later produced and co-authored the animation.

Hannah Kirmes-Daly is a graphic-reporter and co-founder of Brush&Bow, an international creative journalism collective.

Leonard Ermel experiments on mixed animation techniques and hand-drawing. He is an expert on visual communication and has presented his work at numerous international festivals and exhibitions.
