about the film
Greece has been facing an increased influx of migrants and refugees , the largest since 2015, when more than one million refugees had entered the country. In addition to the Aegean islands, a new wave is also being recorded at the eastern Greek border,  the Evros River. This is a story from the river also called by the locals ‘the river of ghosts’ as many of the migrants and refugees failed in the attempt.

about the author
Zoran Kosanović is a correspondent for Al Jazeera Balkans in Niš. He has worked for several domestic and foreign media. First, he was a journalist  for Belgrade’s Borba, then he worked for Vreme, AFP, Beta, VOA in RFI. He reported from the field during the conflict in southern Serbia. He is one of the authors of a  documentary awarded at an international festival in Slovakia.
