A young French woman originally from Algeria sings the French National Anthem by giving it a slant that is almost in the style of a love song.

about the author

A native of Colmar (France), born in 1975, and a graduate of the Ecole supérieure des arts décoratifs in Strasbourg, video artist Céline Trouillet regularly presents her films in international video exhibitions and festivals. She has received a number of grants from the French arts council and is a former lauriat of the Centre Européen d’Actions Artistiques Contemporaines in Strasbourg. Her work is included in private and public art collections in France and Switzerland and a DVD of her work to date will be published in 2014.
