about the film
At the peak of the war, two sons and a daughter of Younes Ayoub and Helen Alashehab leave the war-torn fatherland. The fear of terrorists and a desire to keep the family together forced the 65-year-old Helen to go after her children. The family sold most of the property to pay smugglers to take them to Europe. The hero of the film, 70-year-old Younes Ayoub, remains in Damascus.

about the author
Milana Majar was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She graduated from Stage and Film Art Classes in High School, and then from the Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Journalism. She lived and worked in Syria from 1992 to 2001. Since 2005 she has worked in the Foreign News Program at RTRS in Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the time of the Egyptian revolution 2011, she worked in Cairo as a correspondent for the public radio and television medium in Serbia.
