about the film
Under the glittering Eiffel Tower, illegal Senegalese migrants sell miniature souvenirs of the monument so as to support their families back home. Far from their loved ones and hounded by the police, each day is a new struggle through the darkness in the City of Lights.

‘Dafa Metti (Difficult) is my third short documentary, and as with the previous two, I continue to explore the subject of migration, as well as work in a public space. In this film, as in the  award-winning short doc Sand Men, I have chosen to shine a light on communities  often ignored and to give a voice to marginalized people living in the shadowof society.’
