The film portrays five persons who look back at their childhoods from a life-long perspective. Deportation, loss of loved ones, disease, fear and hunger are their common experience of World War II. It is a story of memories, identity, broken family ties.

Anna Kuśmierczyk is a graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the Faculty of Directing at the National Film School in Lodz.
